For one of our customer teams “Industry” we are looking for a Manager Industry Applications.
The Role
A job with responsibility where you as a team lead contribute to making warehousing, logistics, and material handling sustainable and more efficient. With exciting opportunities to grow and develop into a future of Digital Twins in AI. For a person with a technical background who gets energized from managing a team of talented simulation engineers and data analysts.
The “Industry & Crowd” team focuses on the sales and implementations of InControl simulation software products and building & maintaining software applications within the sectors: Material Handling, Warehousing, Airports, Logistics.
Your key responsibilities
As Manager Applications Industry these are your four areas of responsibility:
- Project mgt. – planning, coordination and reporting
- Customer mgt. – new order intake and communication
- Team mgt – HR-related
- Own work – produce own deliverables
These are main tasks & responsibilities are:
- Manage a team of simulation engineers and support your employees in a functional and coaching manner;
- Coach and lead the team from project focus towards an application focus and to think more in applications as solutions.
- Apply efficient project management (planning, realization, reporting, etc.) in accordance with customer requirements and InControl’s management guidelines;
- Manage and report team capacity planning and meeting customer deliverables;
- Are a main point of contact for large customers, you are responsible for the quality of the service to the customer, whereby the work is carried out efficiently and effectively;
- Perform parts of large and complex deliverables yourself.
- Responsible for the HR-matters and the development of your team members;
- You are main point of contact with customer and co-responsible for the acquisition of additional or follow-up contracts from existing customers.
Required Skills and Experience
The Industry Team consists of passionate professionals who combine their passion for technology and software development with a genuine interest in the various customers and solutions that InControl offers. For this team, we are looking for an experienced technical person with strong people and organization skills.
- Have knowledge in the field of B2B application development for operational / industrial processes.
- Have operational knowledge in Material Handling or Manufacturing / Logistical processes.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in one (or more) of the following areas: B2B application development, industrial engineering, logistics engineering, civil engineering, transport planning, operational research, baggage handling systems, architecture & design of warehouses or distribution centers.
- Have experience as a manager, project leader, or as a ‘cooperating foreman’ in managing and motivating a (technical) team;
- Have a college or academic background. Experience with developing industrial software application is highly recommended (e.g. SAP, WMS, etc.)
- Are able to work and function in multidisciplinary and international project teams;
- Have an good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage but not a must-have;
- Innovative, able to work autonomously, solution-oriented, team-focus, and ambitious;
- Have the will to learn and to continuously improve yourself;
- Are available full-time (part-time is negotiable) – preferably available at short notice.
